Early Christmas for St Mary’s
Pam Golding Properties blesses St Mary's Children's Home with gifts.
CHRISTMAS came early to children of St Mary’s Children’s Home as they were spoilt with gifts by Pam Golding Properties, Aspen Hills, on December 12 in Rosettenville.
The home caters for 60 children and was established in 1902 with the purpose of providing a warm and comfortable home for those who have been abandoned, neglected and assaulted.
St Mary’s is entirely depended on sponsors and donations. Through the cultural diversity programmes, the home has established a well-integrated youth growth programme in South Africa.
Pam Golding Properties saw a need to spoil the children after they read in CHRONICLE an article about the home’s plight and the dire need for assistance.
Children were spoiled with food, beverages, party packs and games and the much-needed toiletries.
Collen Smart of Pam Golding Properties said: “I am pleased to see children enjoying themselves with what we have granted them. We made this possible by asking companies, organisations and individuals, to donate towards this event. I am also emotional seeing these children.”
St Mary’s Children’s Home assistant director Deon Henningse couldn’t stop thanking Pam Golding Properties for showing their love to children. “It is an honour and I am thankful to Pam Golding Properties for thinking about this home. I hope we continue working with Pam Golding in the near future,” he said.
