A hand of friendship from Cell C for the well-being of animals
AACL welcomes blankets and food with a smile.
THE Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) received a warm donation just in time for winter. Cell C donated blankets and food to the AACL on June 7 in Regent Park which they collected from the public during a drive to collect blankets to keep dogs warm during the cold winter months.
Annemarie Peacock from Cell C heard about the drive and and geared up the finance department that collected 20 blankets and further assistance from Cell C Kindness to help them with their efforts.
Suzette van der Merwe, Cell C managing executive for Corporate Social Investment, said they applaud AACL’s efforts in taking care of abandoned and vulnerable animals in winter. “We’re hoping that this donation helps in the league’s efforts to keep these animals safe and comfortable.”
