IN light of Cape Town announcing no designated firework sites this year for Guy Fawkes, Diwali and New Year, Comaro CHRONICLE’S readers were asked if they think Johannesburg should follow suit?

PHILIP ZEELIE: “We have four dogs and they all become completely traumatised during these times. It should be stopped.”
JASON VAN VUUREN: “I am completely against fireworks. It’s not worth what it does to our animals. It should be banned.”
GEORGENA STHEMBELA: “I hate fireworks and I can never distinguish between them and gunshots. I find it scary.”
MICHAEL BENTLEY: “I hate fireworks, as pretty as they are, it’s not worth what it does to our animals.”
