Outstanding payment of allowances for 450 JMPD officers paid

The allowances paid to affected employees' accounts were made from midday July 31.

The 450 Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officers who did not get their allowances because of a technical glitch have now received them.

This is according to the office of the Member of Mayoral Committee for Public Safety, councillor Mally Mokoena.

“The SAP, a software used for effective business operations, has now been updated accordingly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the delay of allowance payments,” said Mokoena.

The allowances paid to affected employees’ accounts were made from midday July 31.

“Furthermore, the Department of Human Resources and Management has assured me that salaries of all 7 540 JMPD officers will be paid on time,” said Mokoena.
