JSPCA: Thor is going home
This patient boy waited almost four months to find his forever home.
Thor came to Johannesburg SPCA on August 4 as an extremely underweight boy and just wanted love and attention.
He was admitted to the JSPCA hospital, where he was being monitored daily and fed rice and chicken to help him pick up weight.
Thor eventually went to the kennels when he was strong enough; he loved playing in the playpens and the company of other dogs. He never showed any signs of kennel stress and just took every day as it came.
This patient boy waited almost four months to find his forever home.
On August 11, the Lau family came to the kennels looking to adopt a dog. They fell in love with this big, happy boy and filled in the adopt application. A few days later they collected the new addition to their family.
“We are extremely thankful for everyone who shared Thor’s story on social media and the JSPCA Facebook page. We are so happy he found a home and wish him and his new family many happy years together,” said Liana Marx from JSPCA.
