Baboo’s Crew save the day
More families were fed and given food parcels by uncle Baboo and Crew in the past weeks.
They distributed grocery hampers to the elderly residing at Northern Senior Citizens Retirement Village and to the residents of South Hills flats.
The crew also fed the residents of Riverlea and Zombie Town.
Families were treated to chicken akhni and packs of potatoes were distributed.
“Most of these people have no source of income and were extremely grateful for the assistance. We thank our kind sponsors and Baboo’s Crew for all their assistance and all the volunteers.
“We are grateful for the assistance and pleaded with the crew to make the feeding a weekly occurrence as this is sometimes the only wholesome meal they have in many days,” explained Abdool Kader Aziz, aka uncle Baboo.
