Prospect substation causes power outage in the South
City Power is currently experiencing a power outage at Prospect substation due to a tripped feeder-board on Monday, February 15.
The outage happened at approximately 14:04 in the afternoon leaving many households without power.

- Glenvista
- Oakdene
- West Turffontein
- Haddon
- Bassonia
- Aspen Hills & surround
“We have sent out a team to investigate & work on repairing the fault. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated restoration time at the moment but further information will be communicated in due course on our Twitter page @CityPowerJHB,” City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena said.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this outage,” added Mangena.
