Community helps rebuild Glenesk pensioner’s home
Before coming to this house, Alta was renting out her house while she was living in another house with her 39-year-old drug addict son.
Alta Peach (66), a pensioner from Glenesk, wants to thank all the good Samaritans who helped to rebuild her house.
She recently moved to a house that had no water, electricity, ceiling and bathroom. With the help of people with good hearts, almost everything has been restored.
“My story in the COURIER was read by people with good intentions who helped a lot. I now have water, electricity, a ceiling, a proper bed, couches, clothes and kitchen utensils. Thank you again to all who extended a helping hand in times of need, I really appreciate it,” she said.
Before coming to this house, Alta was renting out her house while she was living in another house with her 39-year-old drug addict son. Life hasn’t been good for her because she only survived on her pension allowance.
“My son and I are grateful for the kind gesture showed by so many. Now we only need to fix the bathroom and get help for my son to be rehabilitated,” she said
