Rotary Club puts weight behind Cresco

The Rotary Club Benoni van Ryn, with backing from Lego SA, donated several Lego sets to Cresco Preschool and Aftercare.

According to Michael Berman from the Rotary Club, the donation stems out of the club’s project to partner with three schools in the area, two previously disadvantaged schools and one school that caters to the rainbow nation.

“We are throwing our weight behind Cresco, as they truly represent the vision of the rainbow nation,” said Berman.

According to him, Lego SA has taken on the project. The school will be ongoing recipients of Lego products to assist with the children’s learning.

The products donated to the school covers a mix of different ranges from Lego. Some versions cater for all the learners at Cresco, across all different ages and abilities. Part of this is an educational plan developed by Lego Europe.

According to Bevan Davis, owner of Cresco, this partnership as well as their role in fostering the ideals of the rainbow nation is for the benefit of the children.
