Alberton trampolinist celebrates his six years of successes
Kibler Park-based trampoline club trampolinist reflects on his past six years journey as he aims for nothing but the best in the sport.
Eleven-year-old Mason Bensingh from Alberton is proud of his successes in World Age Group Competitions (WAGC) held late last year in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Mason is a young man with a passion for the trampoline. He trains at the No Limits Trampoline Club based in Kibler Park.
This young man qualified for his category’s final eight, placing fourth in the semi-finals and fifth overall with a score of 45.00 in the super finals.
According to Mason, his ultimate goal is to compete in the Olympics and to be under the top achievers.
“I would like to pass my credits for my continued successes to my supportive parents and family members, my dedicated coach, Jessica Govender, as she is one of the best coaches in South Africa and to the No Limits Trampoline Club,” said the young champion.
Mason is presently preparing for WAGC in Birmingham, England in November 2023, hoping to win a medal this time.

No Limits Trampoline Club coach, Jessica Govender, said she is proud to mentor Mason because he has so much passion and works hard to ensure that he puts himself at the next level within this field.
“I believe in this young man because of our aligned energies. My drive and enthusiasm for the trampoline exactly match his. He has been training with me since he was five years old and since then has been consistent in what he does,” said Jessica.
He currently holds national titles for double mini, which he won last year at the 2022 SA Gymnastics Championships.
Mason participates in 10 events annually on average, consistently placing in the top three since 2015.
