Winter drive hosted by Salvation Foundation and the Car Show Community

The organisations held a church service for the homeless and provided them with winter goodies.

Salvation Foundation was invited by the Car Show Community to be a part of its winter drive.

This included a variety of different care-related business owners. The leader who planned the blanket drive was MECA Africa, which is led by Poomesh and Sugen Sukhai.

Ryan Ellapan of the Salvation Foundation said: “As Salvation Foundation we hosted a street church service and provided the homeless with a hot meal and coffee.”

The sponsors brought various items such as hot dogs, blankets, sanitary packs and groceries for those in need.

The homeless came expectant for the church street service.
The homeless people of Alberton came out in numbers.
A hot meal and coffee were provided.
Many blankets were provided to the needy.
