Women hold new positions at The Corinthians

The Corinthians is in La Rochelle.

Tebogo Lehabe is the new chief executive officer (CEO) for The Corinthians, effective immediately.

This new appointment is the flagship of the changes in personnel in the movement. Along with Lehabe taking the reins, sporting director Khuthadzo Nemahunguni is the new head coach for blind soccer and the new chief operations officer.

Newly appointed COO Khuthadzo Nemahunguni.

Along with Esther Strydom heading the marketing department, this is a landmark period in the movement’s history. All the main sectors in Corinthians are led exclusively by women.

Yvonne Ruth Strydom is the head of marketing.

To say the future is female is an understatement. The now is female. Lehabe’s previous stint as the CEO while the previous leadership was away makes her more than capable of handling the role full-time.

Nemahunguni’s perseverance with the blind soccer team, ensuring they are treated with the respect they deserve, means she will take on this new role like a fish to water.

Strydom has transformed the marketing department into a veritable juggernaut since her arrival two years ago and her continuity in this role spells out even better things to come soon.

“We are more than ready for what the second half of the year has in store for us. The June 16 Youth In Sports Festival will be the first event with all the women confirmed in their new positions. We have no doubts that the event will reflect what they have planned in store for the movement: Greatness on a different level,” noted Lehabe.
