WATCH: Salvation Foundation helps feed local job seekers

Job seekers around the streets of Brackenhurst, Brackendowns, Meyersdal, and Albertsdal receive a meal from the Salvation Foundation.

Salvation Foundation members took it upon themselves to help job seekers with a meal once a week while hunting for jobs. This is to give them hope amid their struggle to find employment.

The foundation started the initiative three weeks ago to support those looking for jobs in Brackendowns, Brakenhurst, Meyersdal, and Albertsdal.

Ryan Ellapan, founder of Salvation Foundation, said: “Job seekers sit in these areas daily. We live close by so we see them all the time. We’re reaching out to our community for donations of bread, peanut butter, or jam to make the sandwiches.”

Salvation Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation that aims to meet the needs of the poor and share the love of Jesus Christ with the world.
