Mall of the South leads pothole repair drive with cold-mix solution

In partnership with the SOJO Business & Tourism Helping Hands Foundation and Polyroads, the mall completed a CSI road-repair project using Bitcherman cold-mix asphalt to deliver safer, longer-lasting infrastructure for the community.

The Mall of the South, in partnership with the SOJO Business & Tourism Helping Hands Foundation and Polyroads, has completed a pothole repair using Bitcherman cold-mix.

This is part of a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative aimed at maintaining safe, high-quality roads inside and outside the mall.

The project emphasises that the community deserves the best infrastructure built to last.

The repair utilised a cold-mix asphalt solution, which differs from traditional hot-mix tar.

This cold-mix is engineered to be more durable and longer-lasting, designed to withstand heavy traffic and varying weather conditions.

As a result, the road now offers a smoother and safer driving experience for residents and visitors to the Mall of the South.

The initiative showcases Mall of the South and SOJO’s commitment to community development through innovative maintenance techniques, ensuring the surrounding roads remain in top condition and contribute to overall traffic safety.

The successful application of the cold-mix technology is expected to set a benchmark for future CSI road-repair projects in the area.
