“Noticing the shortcoming in ourselves is far more useful than seeing a thousand in someone else. When it is our own, we can correct it.” – Dalai Lama
We are not disturbed by the things that happen, but our opinions of the things that happen. It’s important to know that we could never learn to be brave and patient if there were only joy in the world.
Let me share five steps that will help you revolutionise your life and help you to be the best you:
1. Set yourself a definite goal – This is the culmination of what, why, how, when and what resources you need to accomplish it.
2. Stop running yourself down. Stop blaming yourself for your past mistakes and short comings and learn from them instead and use them to develop yourself.
3. Stop focusing on why you cannot do it and focus on why you can.
4. Use positive affirmations and recite them in the mornings, during the day and in the evenings, this will help you re-program and re-condition your mind and develop a positive belief system. Here are examples of my daily personal mantras or affirmations – I am the best this world has ever had; I deserve the best this life has to offer; Good things are supposed to happen to me; I don’t wait for the perfect moment, I take the moment and make it perfect.
5. Have a clear description of a person you want to be and hire a mentor and/or coach to guide you and hold you accountable to your stuff and finally take a massive action towards achieving your goal.
My purpose in life is to ensure you live a meaningful life and ultimately reach your greatness through your purpose. Let’s join hands and make this world a better place than we found it!
