“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.” – Benjamin Franklin
Are you becoming or staying relevant? Or are you losing relevance?
This goes to show that you’ve got to run as fast just to stay the same. So, without running, you are seriously losing relevance. In order to stay relevant, you’ve got to run faster than an average person. Learning from other sources of knowledge without application is as good as not having the knowledge, the application is the differentiator. Most people who are not achieving their dreams are not because they don’t know how but because of a lack of discipline, consistency, repetition, commitment and determination.
A lot of work is done just to maintain the status quo. Think of a person who goes to the gym five days a week and eats healthy food just to keep or maintain the same weight.
You need to keep on doing the following:
1. Ask why am I alive? Write down any answer you get, however crazy or absurd it may seem.
2. Once you have this list of things, start questioning each of one them and refine it further.
3. Now, ask yourself this question: Which are more critical in my life that if I were to choose them, I wouldn’t have to worry about the rest?
4. Now, following the above question, choose the top three from the list you’ve created.
This exercise or technique will help you clarify your life and focus your attention on what matters most in your life.
Remember, a tree is judged by the fruit it bears not the fruit it claims or talks about.
Accepting you don’t know is intelligence and asking for help is true wisdom. You are special, always remember that.
