Sharks XV secure final spot after thrilling 40-40 draw with Bulls
The Fidelity ADT Lions will face the Hollywoodbets Sharks XV in the 2024 Carling Currie Cup Final this weekend in Johannesburg after winning their semi-finals.
In a gripping encounter at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday, the Hollywoodbets Sharks XV clinched a spot in the season finale despite a 40-40 draw with the Vodacom Bulls.
The Sharks progressed thanks to their superior try count, outscoring the Bulls by six tries to four.
A standout moment came from Springbok prop Trevor Nyakane, whose dramatic second-half try in extra time levelled the scores, sealing the Sharks’ path to the final.
The season decider will take place next Saturday at Emirates Airline Park, with kickoff at 16:00 and live coverage on SuperSport.
