Arrests by Mondeor SAPS

Here is a roundup of Mondeor SAPS arrests from August 23 to September 1.

THREE suspects were arrested on August 31, 2016 at about 21:00 between Golden Highway and Main Street, Naturena. Police received information on a possible hijacked vehicle that was driving on the N1 and the suspects were pulled off the road and searched by the police who recovered a black Audi A3 that was hijacked in Yeoville in August 2016.

Two unlicensed firearms were also recovered and three African males aged 24, 30 and 35 were arrested and detained at Mondeor Police Station and were charged with possession of hijacked motor vehicle and unlicensed firearm, they will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court.

There have been 15 arrests for shoplifting, 11 for possession of dagga, five for fraud, five for assault, four for possession of a hijacked vehicle and unlicensed firearm, three for theft, two for house robbery, two for murder and one arrest for malicious damage to property.
