9: SA Military History Society invites you to their next meeting, on Thursday, March 9, in the auditorium of the Museum of Military History, Erlswold Way, Saxonwold (next to the zoo) at 20:00. The first event for the evening is “South African POWs: Libya, Italy and Germany”, by Karen Horn, followed by the main lecture, “The Union Defence Force and the East African Campaign 1940 to 1941, a Critical Analysis”, by Evert Kleynhans. Wives are welcome and visitors are invited to join them at a charge of R30 per person, which includes tea or coffee after the lecture. 10: Mystery Ghost Bus will run its Full Moon tours in Johannesburg on March 10 offering ‘pub and grub’ stops, poltergeists, EVP recordings, dowsing rods, castles, a dark haunted room, graveyards and much more. 11: Drop in Drawing with Bronwen Findlay on Saturday, March 11, at 12:00, at the Wits Arts Museum. Adults are invited to explore the Lifescapes: Six Object Biographies exhibition and participate in an art-making class with artist and educator Bronwen Findlay. 1: Weekend Market opening at Uncle Charlie’s, corner of Nasrec and Rifle Range roads, Ridgeway, on April 1. The market, with 130 stalls, will be open every Saturday and Sunday as well as public holidays from 09:00 to 17:00. Come and browse a variety of stalls and there promises to be loads of fun for children in the 1 600sqm kids world, including go-carting, face painting and lots more. New Apostolic Church invites you to its Maketse Music School every Saturday from 10:00. It takes place at the church on the corner of Hillen and Wilcox streets, Towerby.

Choir members are urgently needed for a multi-denominational choir called Under His Wings, under the leadership of Claude Weeder.
