Elvis Vegas show fever hits Jhb South

Welcome to Las Vegas at Ridge Park Sports Club in Towerby, Johannesburg South, where Elvis has definitely not left the building and still reigns supreme as the king of rock and roll.

Bookings are now open for an exhilarating show that will take you on a journey down memory lane to re-live the Vegas years and pay tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all time.

With his voice, moves, rhinestone-studded jumpsuits and charisma, Doug Weich as an Elvis tribute artist is in a class of his own.

All the way from Ballito in KZN, Doug is bringing his show to Johannesburg where he will perform for three shows only at the Ridge Park Sports Club.

The show gives us a glimpse of what it was like to watch the King of Rock ’n‘ Roll in Las Vegas when he made his return to live performances, starting from his debut in 1969 until the late 1970s with all the glitz and glamour.

Doug, like Elvis, is backed by an outstanding professional four-piece band – Evan Cullum on keyboard and backing vocals, Francois Hardy on drums on backing vocals, Jason Andrew on bass guitar on backing vocals and David Knott on lead guitar.

This show is for audiences of all ages, with all-time favourites such as Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock, It’s Now or Never, Fever, Heartbreak Hotel, Johnny B Goode and Suspicious Minds.

Callie Els, a multi-talented 17-year-old singer/songwriter who also plays guitar and keyboard and studies vocals and guitar at the Campus of Performing Arts in KZN, will appear as a special guest artist.

Show dates are May 28 (doors open 6.30pm), May 29 (doors open 6.30pm) and May 30 (doors open 1pm).

Tickets sell at R165 per person or R1 200 for a table booking of eight people or R1500 for a table of ten people. To book, kindly SMS or WhatsApp your contact details and email address to 072 148 2588.
