Baboo’s Crew appreciates the community’s support

Uncle Baboo thanks all those who supported them in buying food so that they can support the worthy cause.

Baboo’s Crew had a fantastic day in Robertsham selling mutton biryani, mutton bunny chows and chicken Haleem for a good cause on May 22.

They partnered with Salaam Foundation where all the proceeds go to Salaam Foundation Gaza Ambulance campaign.

“We would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank the Salaam Foundation for allowing us to be part and parcel of a great initiative. You have blessed us with a great opportunity to assist our brethren who are in dire straits. We thank all those who came out and supported us and a special thank you to all those that assisted in the preparation and sponsorship of ingredients. Our second initiative for the day was the distribution of vegetable packs and haleem in Riverlea. These residents wait for our assistance as they live in extreme poverty. Just as we were about to call it a day, we received a call that a house had burned down on Lang Street in Turffontein. We loaded up yet again and went out to feed them haleem and bread. They thanked us for the assistance as they had not had a meal since the day before.

“We’d like to extend our gratitude to all those that supported us, all our sponsors and Baboo’s crew for all their efforts,” explained Uncle Baboo.
