He is looking for talented actors in Germiston to nurture and nourish their skills.

Because of the cost implications, he urged the community and businesses to rally behind his vision and offer support.

“I am a talented scriptwriter. I write movies, series and books. I started producing films while I was in Bloemfontein where I also trained young people to film, direct and produce movies,” said Joshua.

“Today two of my former students in Bloemfontein have their own production companies. Today I want to recruit young people around Germiston and surrounding areas and nurture their talents in acting, directing, and producing,” he said.

“We are based in Germiston at 15 Joubert Street where we host our practice sessions.

In Bloemfontein, I had started a production studio which I later sold when I moved to Gauteng. I also started what we called ‘Bloemllywood’ as we have Hollywood in America and Nollywood in Nigeria,” said Joshua.

“I have a movie called Behind the Alter which is a movie that focused on how pastors live their lives beyond the pulpit,” said Joshua.

“We have more scripts to produce following this project. I would like to continue filming more episodes for it given the opportunity,” he said.

“This movie was shot in Germiston three years ago, with no proper equipment, but people loved it and it allowed our characters to be scouted.

“One of the boys was later cast on Generations at SABC 1. The other person went to Spain with Lion King casting crew after he auditioned,” said Joshua.

He added that he seeks people with equipment to offer their skills, time and resources to join forces with him to produce more movies and series.

“I have more than 30 scripts already written and edited. All I need is someone to work with.

“We need your businesses to help us with the costs of filming or someone with cameras to land us a hand to reach our end goal,” said Joshua.

“Over the years I have worked with Omoseye Bolaji, a Nigerian writer who worked in South Africa as an editor of the Free State News,” said Joshua.

“I wrote a book about him called The Triumph and before that, I released another book called Spiritual Comma,” he said.

“Spiritual Comma was made up of all the newspaper articles I used to write weekly for the Free State News. I combined all the stories into a book,” said Joshua.

“South Africa has so much talent but it lacks good stories. I believe I can contribute a great deal to this industry,” said Joshua.
