Donations made to Avril Elizabeth Home in celebration of Mandela Day
Grade R pupils from a local preschool spare thought for the handicapped.
The Bedfordview Baby and Toddler Centre along with some of its learners visited the Avril Elizabeth Home for the mentally handicapped to celebrate the spirit of the late Nelson Mandela.
They donated toys and books.
Centre’s principal Joanne Cloete said they always try to give back to the community.

“We try to do whatever we can to help. To run a home with special needs is expensive.
“They need all the love and care they can get,” she explained.
