NPO donates food parcels to needy locals

The Tshepo Makole Foundation worked closely with the Gold R. Group to make the day possible.

The Tshepo Makole Foundation is contributing to the fight against poverty as they donated food parcels to underprivileged families in Naledi, Dube, Braamfischerville and Mofolo North on September 17.

According to the co-founder of the Foundation, Tshepo Makole, most of their beneficiaries depend on SASSA grants to survive and most of those beneficiaries have encountered huge difficulties and challenges in accessing their grant payments. Therefore the foundation decided to assist by providing food parcels to all those who were affected.

“Through this initiative, we aim to assist the elderly people living with disabilities and women who are unemployed depending on grants to survive. We believe that there is a strong need for us to intervene and look after our people,” said Makole.

Mokole added that the unemployment rate is too high and people now depend on social grants to survive, therefore such initiatives plays a huge role in assisting a lot of disadvantage families.

The Tshepo Makole Foundation worked closely with the Gold R. Group to make the day possible.

“The little that we get from kind people like Tshepo Mokole is always appreciated since it goes a long way.

“I’m grateful to be one of the people who were chosen to receive this kind gesture and I pray that God blesses both his bank account and his heart because this comes from a good place,” said one the beneficiaries, Diana Mathiba.
