Two poachers shot dead in Kruger National Park

No rhino product or carcass was found.

Investigations are under way after two poachers were shot and killed at the Crocodile Bridge area in the Kruger National Park (KNP) in Mpumalanga.

Skukuza police spokesperson Bossie Boshoff confirmed the incident, saying police, KNP rangers and members of the Environmental Crime Unit of the KNP responded to the scene on Thursday, Lowvelder reported.

Boshoff added no rhino products or a rhino carcass were found.

SANParks spokesperson William Mabasa said two rifles were confiscated.
