Elderly urged to go join exercise class

Elderly must lead a healthy lifestyle and exercise.

Training facilitator Junior Dhlamini urges the elderly to devote themselves into exercising to help keep them healthy.

Talent Angels and Elderly is a programme under which the aged are trained for fitness and for a healthy lifestyle.

Dhlamini said victims of chronic diseases and pregnant women are their major target.

“It is important that people get educated about health issues to ensure that good positive health remains in our control.

She said the activities of exercising started seven months back.

Only 23 elders currently have been recorded on the database.

Elders of the community are welcome to train and the services are offered free of charge.

It happens every Monday to Wednesday at Nokuphila Clinic.

It lasts from 9am to 10am.
