Endless problems slows down foundation

Lack of funds impacts negatively on Mahambe Aids Foundation.

Mahambe Aids Foundation, which has been operational for 10 years, has survived over the years without funding and sponsorships.

Though some businesses and political parties have tried to help better things for the foundation before, the challenges are still there.

Uniforms, name tags, a photocopy machine, computer, incentives for caregivers, medication, wheelchairs, safety gloves, funds, sponsorship, space and shelter are a few of the important things the foundation needs.

Chairperson Promise Mainetja said if they can get funding most of the challenges they encounter would be addressed.

Mainetja said” We did apply for funding in different organisations but have not been successful over the 10 years.

“We need all the support we can get and I am grateful that all the caregivers are still with us.

Mainetja said she is appealing to businesses to help make a difference.
