These are the schedules for proposed load shedding – when needed – for the various areas around Soweto.
Should load shedding be necessary all the below areas will experience it from 6pm till 10pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Dube, Jabavu, Mofolo Central, Mofolo North, Meadowlands East Zone 1, Meadowlands East Zone 2,
Meadowlands East Zone 3, Meadowlands East Zone 4, Meadowlands East Zone 5, Meadowlands East
Zone 6, Meadowlands West Zone 6, Meadowlands West Zone 7, Meadowlands West Zone 8,
Meadowlands West Zone 10, Orlando West, Dhlamini, Jabavu, Klipspruit, Mofolo Central, Mofolo South,
Moroka, Chiawelo, Senaoane, Molapo, Klipspruit, Pimville, Dobsonville, Emdeni, Jabulani, Mmesi Park,
Mofolo North, Moletsane, Tladi, Naledi, Zola, Zondi.
Eskom has released a statement on their webiste saying: “Eskom will only be doing load shedding as a last resort.
We are however publishing these schedules to enable customers to be better prepared in the event that load shedding is required to protect Eskom’s national power system.”
Customers are encouraged to take note of the schedule and engage with Eskom via their Contact Centre at 086 003 7566 /086 00 ESKOM or their web page.
