Residents invited to a meeting

Land claims applicants invited to a public meeting.

Dobsie Heritage Foundation will on March 9 hold a public meeting for Soweto residents at 9 am at the Kopanong Hall, Dobsonville.

Secretary Motsomi Mokhine said the meeting follows the passing of the Restitution of Land Rights Amendment Bill by the National Assembly last week.

He said the Bill seeks to re-open the lodgement of land claims by people who were removed from their land as a result of past discriminatory laws.

Motsomi said the foundation which has been campaigning for the re-opening of land claims together with the National Land Claims Forum will be reporting back to Soweto residents on progress made in this regard.
