Pupils urged to be entrepreneurs

Soweto schools attend entrepreneurship seminars at the Absa Towers.

To promote youth leadership, nine schools from Soweto have been chosen to attend entrepreneurship seminars at the Absa Towers in Johannesburg over 23 Saturdays.

The aim of the seminars is to equip pupils with skills that would make them self sufficient.

Emshukantambo Senior Secondary School was one of the schools chosen to attend these seminars.

“We were very excited when we were chosen and this opportunity has highlighted some of our pupils who are running their own businesses at such an early age,” said Pule Hlahane from the school.

He said they are grateful for the opportunity as Absa has opened accounts for the pupils and this will equip them with money-saving skills.
