“Bring back our Girls” march

YMCA march against the abduction of the more than 200 schoolgirls in Nigeria.

Soweto Young Men Christian Association held a “Bring back our Girls” march yesterday.

The march was hel by the YMCA and supported by various churches and local organisations.

The march then led to Orlando Police Station where a memorandum was handed over to the Station Commander Brigadier Zangwa.

“Our intention was to hand over the memorandum to a representative from the Nigerian Embassy, unfortunately a representative was not sent,” said YMCA manager Portia Tshepe.

Brigadier Zangwa said he will make sure that he will personally hand over the memorandum to a representative from the Nigerian embassy.

” This is a very important memorandum, this I am proud to see our community standing up for our sister country, what has happened in Nigeria should never happen in our country,” said Zangwa.
