Kliptown Pick n Pay hosts a successful carwash

Community came in droves to support bandana day at the Kliptown Pick n Pay.

Kliptown Pick n Pay, last Sunday hosted a carwash in support for the Sunflower Foundation’s bandana day.

In an event that was supported by the community of Kliptown and Pimville, the event was a huge success.

“We wanted to do something totally different this year.

“In previous years we would collect the money on a day like this and throw a party for children at a particular orphanage in the area.

“This year we wanted to do something different with the money collected from the car wash, we will identify a school and buy underprivileged pupils school uniforms,” said Kliptown Pick n Pay, store manager, Cecilia Peyise.

Peyise thanked everyone who participated in the carwash, especially the staff.

“I would also like to thank Klippers Sales, who donated jumping castles and sweets for the children in attendance, “Peyise said.
