A headless body of newborn baby boy was found dead with bite marks on his body after allegedly being eaten by dogs in Zondi last week Thursday.
Police spokesperson warrant Kay Makhubela says the police were informed of the incident after a passer by called the police after seeing the gruesome body of the infant being dragged by dogs on the street.
Makhubela says that the parents of the baby have not yet been identified and the police are still investigating the matter.
Police were not sure if the baby was abandoned or not.
According to Makhubela, an inquest docket has been opened on the matter.
