Eskom cancels load shedding plans

Eskom has now cancelled stage one of its load shedding plan which was scheduled to take place today from 10am to 10pm.

Eskom Spokesperson Khulu Phasiwe said the schedule got cancelled because of a reduction in the use of electricity by consumers.

Phasiwe said load shedding affects consumers countrywide and municipalities decide on what specific areas get to experience power cuts before others.

“We urge people to use electricity sparingly to avoid power cuts,” said Phasiwe.

It is still unclear when the next load shedding plan will come.
