Disciplinary measures taken against striking workers

The City of Johannesburg welcomed the decision by bus operating company, Piotrans to take disciplinary action against workers who have not arrived to work following a disruption of services on the morning of February 2.

The services remain suspended while commuters are encouraged to use alternative transport.

The City has made arrangements for commuters who loaded money into their smart cards to use them as debit cards to get their money back.
