Cabinet asks South Africans to celebrate Freedom Month

This year’s Freedom Month celebrations will be done under the theme ‘Celebrating the beginning of the third decade of our freedom through accelerating radical economic transformations’.

South Africans have been encouraged by the government to join in on the Freedom Month celebration during this month.

The Minister of the Presidency, Jeff Radebe said the Freedom Month celebrations will be done to promote human dignity and pursue a common national agenda towards building a united and prosperous South Africa.

He said the celebrations will be done under the theme ‘Celebrating the beginning of the third decade of our freedom through accelerating radical economic transformations’.

Radebe said South African should remember the many sacrifices made by the fellow compatriots in the fight against the brutal apartheid system so that the current generations could enjoy the freedom they have today.
