Vulindlel e’jozi to help decrease unemployment
Vulindlel e’jozi to breakdown barriers to opportunities by creating pathways for young people to access skills training programmes
Vulindlel’ eJozi is a youth skills empowerment initiative by the City of Johannesburg in partnership with the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator.
It is designed to breakdown barriers to opportunities by creating pathways for young people to access skills training programmes, entry-level employment and entrepreneurship development.
On Monday July 20, the initiative stopped at the Coronationville Recreation Centre.
Here they filled out forms and were registered on the youth employment system.
The system is mainly seeking unemployed youth aged 18-34 years in search of employment.
Harambee has placed 15 000 youth into full-time jobs over the past four years nationally.
This programme has provided many industrial jobs for youth who have never worked.
Their next roadshow will be at:
Date: Wednesday August 5
Area: Naledi
Venue: Naledi Community Hall
Address: 676 Legwale Street.
