Illegal connections robs boy of his life

An 11-year-old boy died after being allegedly electrocuted by live wires.

An 11-year-old boy was allegedly electrocuted to death in Bushkoppies while apparently swimming in the river that flows through it.

This comes after a clean-up operation of illegal connections was held almost three weeks ago.

After the clean-up, three trucks were filled with cables, wires and poles from illegal connections.

Kervlin Bowers, according to his aunt Aulette Bowers, went swimming and it seemed liked he slipped, tried to grab on a wire and was shocked to death.

He was laid to rest last Saturday.

Illegal connections in Slovo Park have been an ongoing issue and affects businesses negatively.
