The Meadowlands police station have launched a man hunt for perpetrators who stoned a man to death.
The deceased was with his friends at Mlaba’s tavern based at Mzimhlophe Hostel when a fellow customer stepped on the deceased’ s foot.
When the deceased questioned the action, an argument erupted and the owner of the tavern kicked the deceased out with his friends.
After a few minutes, the other group that was caught in the argument decided to leave the tavern.
When they saw the deceased with his friends, they chased them until they caught up to the deceased.
The perpetrators then stoned the deceased until he died on scene.
Sergeant Octavia Thebe , public relations officer said, “According to the friends of the deceased there were about 10 perpetrators involved and the place are still looking for them.”
