Prestige for “Top Cop” at Sophiatown Police Station

Jennifer Naicker to receive top honours at the provincial awards ceremony.

Lieutenant Colonel Jennifer Naicker who has been serving for 12 years at the Sophiatown Police Station has been nominated for an award as the best officer under the cluster.

Naicker who has been serving under the South African Police Station for 22 years is responsible for the station’s administrative work and heads the human resources department.

Station commander Brigadier Susan Crafford has lauded her achievements describing her as a phenomenal woman.

“With all the crime and negative events that have been occurring in the area, it is such an honour to present a positive aspect from the station and to the community.

“We are very proud of Jennifer and we hope to see her prosper in the near future,” said Crafford.

Warrant officer Jerbes De Bruin described her as a very diligent woman.

“We are so happy to have been working with her and she has been a blessing to the station,” said De Bruin.

An emotional Naicker said she was so shocked when she heard that she was nominated for the award.

“I enjoy what I do and it has been a privilege to serve the people of the community and to work with the current staff,” said Naicker.

The awards ceremony will be held later next month.
