Hare Krishna educating about the possibility of self-realisation
Hare Krishna sang and danced in the streets of Meadowlands.
Church members of Hare Krishna joyfully chanted around the streets of Meadowlands teaching people about the possibility of self-realisation.
Members were chanting one of their hymns and distributing books.
“We are not just chanting but we also give away books that explain the power of Metra Meditation.
“The book also talks about how it can bring you ultimate self-awareness that will bring you in touch with supreme pleasure principle,” said one of the church members Simphiwe Mngadi.
Mngadi said that the book explains how human behaviours are measured and judged after death.
The book is titled Chant and be happy.
Mngadi said that the book is based on the teachings of His Devine Grace A.C Bhaktinvedanta Swami Prabhupada.
“Self-denial and sacrifice are also crucial for salvation in Hare Krishna.
“This teaching requires belief in reincarnation and the transmigration of the soul,” added Mngadi.
“It is only when one’s good deeds have counterbalanced the bad that he can cease the cycles of rebirth and realize his oneness with Krishna.”
The Hare Krishna church is found at Meadowlands Zone 2 and 7.
