Former actor , Dj , voice artist , director and presenter Mandla Hlatshwayo has been laid to rest. Friends and family gathered at the Protea Multipurpose Centre to bid fairwell to a gentleman who has been described as being ‘valient and humble’.
On May 14, Hlatshwayo, and his dear friend, Oupa Duma were shot dead at Meli Pub in Pimville whilst trying to rescue women from armed robbers.
The general public, including prominent figures have shared their messages of support towards the passing of these two souls.
Worship and praise songs filled the hall in Protea South as mourners went to celebrate the life of former Generations actor on May 18.
Hlatshwayo’s former colleagues on popular soapie Generations, who came out to show their support with Jozi FM CEO Mpho Mhlongo, said, ” What happened to him, was not supposed to happen, but for as long as we as men don’t do what Mandla did we are trash.
Police have arrested four people.
