Jeanie De Lange is a 72-year-old grandmother and great grandmother, with seven children, 17 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband passed away six years ago.
De Lange said, “I’m originally from Eldorado Park, currently residing in Florida. I attended Emmanuel Pentecostal Church based in Eldorado Park and I’m currently attending Crystal Church.
“My passion is reading, I love reading books, I’m a people’s person and I like to be surrounded by my family. When I’m not helping my grandchildren with reading, I’ll be preparing supper or reading a book.”
Before writing the book, she was completely unaware that one day she would have her own as she said, “I had no idea that I was going to write a story until my granddaughter asked me where she comes. Like any mother or grandmother, I cried out to God for help.
“I suddenly remembered how long her mother waited for her to be born, and how we prayed for her. After 20 years the miracle happened. I saw it in my mind’s eye, how Jesus was in His study, browsing through all the prayer requests before He came across this prayer request.
“Then I remembered about Jeremiah 1:5 – ‘before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee‘. I realised that God answers prayers, even if it takes a long time, God answers at the perfect time.” that God answers prayers, even if it takes a long time, God answers at the perfect time.”
It was this bible verse that steered De Lange in the right direction. “That’s when I decided to write the book The Nursery, a book that is all about where we came from and what happens before we get here, When we go to Jeremiah 1:5- ‘before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee’, it tells us that we were known before we were formed in our mothers’ wombs. To all the ladies who are struggling to have a baby, God will answer your prayers. Just keep on having faith and seeking God’s will.”
De Lange’s book aims to inspire all the hope that gets lost along the way when having troubles with the conception of a baby.
Women and men seem to lose faith when it comes to this scenario and is a guide which reasserts the preaching that prayer is the answer to all problems in our daily lives.
