Naledi cops arrest over 40 suspects for various crimes

Naledi Police Station successes.

The Naledi police members have arrested about 40 suspects for crimes ranging from shoplifting, contravention of a protection order, possession of dagga, theft, assault common, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, selling alcohol without licenses and driving under the influence of alcohol.

On Monday

The police arrested a female suspect aged 27 from Naledi for shoplifting after she was found in possession of stolen sleepers at PEP store and a 63-year-old man from Naledi was arrested for contravention of a protection order.

On Tuesday

The police arrested five (5) male suspects aged between 20 and 32 from Naledi and Emndeni were arrested for possession of dagga.

– A 27-year-old guy from Naledi was arrested for assault common after assaulting a 25-year-old woman also from Naledi.

– Two male suspects from Naledi aged 33 and 36 were arrested for theft after they stole river sand valued at about R400.00.

Wednesday

– The police arrested also arrested three (3) male suspects from Tladi aged between 24 and 33 for possession of dagga.

– A 30-year-old man from Katlehong was arrested for attempted theft after he tried to steal a train sliding door.

– A 16-year-old boy from Emndeni was arrested for robbery after he robbed a male suspect of his cellphone.

On Thursday

– The police arrested again four (4) male suspects from Emndeni and Zola 2 aged between 27 and 34 for possession of dagga.

– Two male suspects from Naledi aged 30 and 44 were arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in separate incidents.

On Saturday

– 12 male suspects aged between 22 and 40 from Naledi, Emndeni and Rockville were arrested for possession of dagga in separate incidents

– Two illegal shebeens operating in Naledi were shut down and the owners were fined.

– A 43-year-old man from Naledi was arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm to a 40-year-old woman also from Naledi.

On Sunday

– Two male suspects aged 25 and 33 were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Emndeni in separate incidents.

– Another shebeen operating without a licence in Tladi was shut down and the owner fined and a 33-year-old guy from Naledi was arrested for possession of dagga.
