The spirit of giving back to the community has seemingly become a norm to most of our local celebrities. Actress, Zenande Mfenyana, is among these celebrities.
Spotted at Maponya Mall with her lovely crew on March 10, Mfenyana encouraged shoppers at the mall to help change a life of a girl child in South Africa by donating new panties and bras for girls of ages 6-18 years.
According to the Bill of Rights, all children have the right to education, now imagine a young girl being absent from school just because she doesn’t have a panty or a bra.
According to Mfenyana, the Panties and Bras with a purpose campaign is a movement that is geared at empowering young girls in South Africa by ensuring that no girl will be deprived the right to education just because of lack of physical needs.

This will help young girls to stay in school as it will help boost their self-esteem as well as self-confidence to perform better in class after all education is the key to success and the most effective way of empowering young women.
They collect new bras and panties and distribute them to the needy. While you are doing your typical shopping and rifling through racks of underwears to find the perfect one for yourself, bear in mind that somewhere in South Africa, there is a young woman who is a long way far from that luxury, so do the right thing, become part of the movement and help a girl stay in school.
