Imagine you had to remember a complex mathematics, science or geography lesson and while the teacher was explaining it to you: a stone in your shoe kept on disrupting you.
Similarly, no learner can thoroughly focus in class with tattered shoes which bring discomfort and teasing from other learners who do not yet have the understanding of how backgrounds differ.
Bridgette Ramabulana, however, a resident from Diepkloof totally understands that a comfortable learner is a comprehending student, so for the past five years she has made it her responsibility to supply school shoes for the learners of Bapedi Primary School.
One uncle to a learner from the school couldn’t help but smile in gratitude, speaking on behalf of all the other parents and guardians of the learners who received the school shoes, Kabelo Matlou said, “The lady keeps doing this annually and we would all like her to know that we truly appreciate her and her efforts, it makes us so happy as parents and encourages our children, the learners from the school to put more into their education.”
The principal for the school, Wilson Mogodi was excited for his learners; he encouraged more parents to take on a pattern from Ramabulana.
Mogodi said, “What Ramabulana does for the school is astounding and astonishing, it refreshes our learners and motivates them to learn more dedicatedly. More parents should do this to support their children and the education of our country as a whole.”
The shoe hand over went on without any glitches And learners with different shoe sizes in need of shoes had their needs taken care of, thanks to Bridgette Ramabulana.
