Tlamo’s Boot Camp preparing people to get in shape for summer

No fancy equipment needed for fitness.

The saying “summer bodies are made in winter.” is a popular saying that will be used this season as people are preparing to get in shape for summer. Such was the case for people who attended “Tlamo’s Boot Camp” hosted by Letlamoreng “Tlamo” Mahlonoko on Saturday, 22nd June 2019.

“Tlamo” as she is popularly known says she started these boot camps in the first week of June 2019 because people wanted to train with her as she trains every day because to her it is a lifestyle. She says it was on a Thursday where she decided that on that Saturday she would host her 1st fitness boot camp.

She went on further to explain how because she had literally no equipment for people to gym with, she went on her social media and asked people to help her out with equipment like tires and that was when she met Sizwe “Coach Michael” Hlongwane, who according to Tlamo has been huge help with the boot camp.

A saying like “charity begins at home” is something that motivated “Coach Michael” to start helping Tlamo in Orlando as oppose to starting something about fitness in Sandton where he had worked.

He says his love for fitness comes from the tragedy that hit his family in 2015 whereby his mother lost her life due to the fact that she lived an unhealthy life and didn’t exercise so for him it was more of a lesson learnt.

He says if people start adopting fitness as a lifestyle that will promote healthy minds and healthy thinking.

Making a profit for herself isn’t the end goal for Tlamo but rather a national workout day at the Orlando stadium as that will attract the masses and reach a broader audience. Motivation to start training from “Tlamo” is simple, she says people don’t need fancy equipment in order to gym, they just need their bodies.
