The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) K9 unit members were informed of suspicious behaviour and discovered what looked like a drug laboratory upon arrival over the weekend at Central Western Jabavu.
They found chemicals, machines and powder used to make mandrax tablets.
Spokesperson of JMPD Wayne Minnaar said JMPD K9 members received a tipoff over this past weekend of suspicious behaviour at a house in Central Western Jabavu.

“The scene was handed over to the Narcotics Investigation Unit. The owner of the house will have to be detained for possession and dealing in drugs,” added Minnaar.
“Police are still searching for the owner of a house where a drug laboratory was discovered in Central Western Jabavu-Soweto, over the weekend.
“At the house, police seized chemicals and equipment suspected to manufacture drugs were seized as exhibits,” said Gauteng Police Spokesperson Mavela Masondo.
