Fine tunes and sundowners at Maponya Mall

This series of laid back free mini concerts are a buildup to the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival set to take place at Constitution Hill in October.

Another round of Bash in Casa music showcase drew a huge crowd of fun seekers at Nando’s Maponya Mall this past Sunday.

This series of laid back free mini concerts are a buildup to the Basha Uhuru Freedom Festival set to take place at Constitution Hill in October.

The latest dose of Bash in Casa was headlined by singer and songwriter, Asanda Lusaseni Mvana otherwise better known by her stage name, Msaki.

She took to the stage and serenaded the crowd with her hits such as Ubomi Abumanga and Fetch Your Life.

The SAMA award nominee could not leave the stage as the crowd kept begging for more. She shared the stage with two other female rising superstars Kallo and Basetsana.

A local singer and song writer, Kallo recently dropped her debut EP titled Love Over Everything which is currently available on all digital platforms.

She gave music lovers a taste of what’s in the EP while taking them on a journey through her music career.

Also on the bill was Basetsana who turned things up and got everyone working out a sweat on the dance floor with her groovy tunes.

The Sunday installment of Bash in Casa saw Sowetans of all age groups come out in numbers to enjoy sundowners coupled with live music.

It is also a platform to showcase upcoming talent about to take over the local music scene while getting ready for the main event.

“Every time we host Basha in Casa we create an experience of culture, music, art and food.

“The vibrant environment makes this event unique and enticing to attendees, as well as our Nandocas, who play a pivotal role in the success of this event,” said Nontobeko Sibiya, Marketing Manager: Communications at Nando’s South Africa.
