About 40 seniors were given the chance to interact with one another and simply enjoy a delicious lunch. Dhal and beef, mutton curry, rice, savouries, ice cream, tea, cake biscuits, cold drink, juice, sweets and chips were on the menu.

All attendees also left with goodie bags and 5L of water. The elderly were forced to step outside their comfort zone to take part in a joyful and happy afternoon.

Nazlee Alberts, the founder of GWP expressed her gratitude, and said, ” Giving With A Purpose Foundation is a Community orientated organisation, and as such we are always finding ways to uplift our communities and be integrated with them. I believe there is no better way to do this than to love and spoil our elders.”

She added that spoiling and putting a smile on the faces of the elders in Eldorado Park was the agenda of the day on Saturday.

The team had a great time with the elderly and the foundation’s focus was to help make a difference in their lives.

“We would like to thank all our sponsors, donors and volunteers. Without them none of it would be possible.

“To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours,” ended Alberts.

Alley Sol of Sisterhood Foundation said, “It was such an honour to see what Nazlee Alberts and her awesome team had arranged for the elderly of Eldorado Park.

“They were treated like royalty and each received goodie bags of appreciation.

“This for me was heart-warming as our Elderly are often forgotten but most definitely yesterday they were celebrated beyond words or expectation.”
